Android: Filter Call History by Missed Calls

A long Phone log mixes outgoing, incoming and missed calls together, so spotting who you need to call back gets tricky. On Android the call history has no separate tab for missed calls by default, everything lands in one continuous list. Switching the view to Missed only clears out the noise without deleting anything.

Filter Call History by Missed or All Calls auf Android

The Phone app on Android stores every call type in one shared log by default. Outgoing, incoming and missed calls all appear together, which makes it hard to quickly see who you still need to call back.

The built-in filter changes only the display, it does not delete or archive any entry. Switching between All and Missed simply hides the call types you do not want to see right now.

This filter lives inside the call history screen, not in the general system settings, so it applies only to the Phone app view. If you need to permanently remove old entries instead of just filtering them out, use the delete option in the same menu rather than this filter.

The menu option and its exact wording can shift slightly between Android versions or phone brands, but the underlying All/Missed toggle works the same way across recent Android releases.

Frequently asked questions

The built-in filter only switches between All and Missed. To find calls from one contact, search the call history or open that contact's detail page instead.
