Set Dark or Light Theme for the Calendar App auf Oppo
Google Calendar does not always follow the system-wide Dark Mode on Oppo phones running Coloros. The app has its own theme control, so a bright interface can persist even after you switch the phone display to dark.
This happens because Calendar treats appearance as an app-level preference, not a system-inherited setting. Older app versions or a recent update can reset this preference back to Light, independent of your Coloros display settings.
To change it, open Tap on Calendar ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on General ➔ Tap on Theme ➔ Choose Light or Dark.
Dark theme lowers screen brightness on OLED panels, which reduces battery drain and makes the calendar easier to read in low light. Light theme stays better for outdoor use in bright daylight, where contrast matters more than power saving.
If Calendar still ignores your choice after following these steps, force-close the app and reopen it. A cached display setting occasionally blocks the new theme from applying immediately.
