Create folder

For a better overview, we can create folders on the start screen of the Oppo-Smartphone to sort our apps. Creating a folder works either the classic way, where you drag one app shortcut to another, or, as this guide shows, with the folder function. The latter is recommended if you want to move several apps to the folder at once.

Android 10 (ColorOS 7.0)
Step 1: Tap and hold a free Area on Home screen
Step 2: Select all desired apps
Step 3: Tap on Create folder
  1. Tap and hold a free Area on Home screen
  2. Select all desired apps
  3. Tap on Create folder

Rename folder

Newly created folders on the start screen of the Oppo-Smartphone are given the name of the category most apps are about by default, but the folder names are usually truncated because the maximum length of the name is only 18 characters. You can rename folders by tapping on the current name.

Android 10 (ColorOS 7.0)
Step 1: Open the desired Folder
Step 2: Tap on the current Name
Step 3: Enter a new name and confirm with OK
  1. Open the desired Folder
  2. Tap on the current Name
  3. Enter a new name and confirm with OK

Remove folder

We can only remove folders on the start screen of Oppo-Smartphones if we delete all app shortcuts in them, and as soon as the last app has been removed, the folder will be deleted as well.

Android 10 (ColorOS 7.0)
Step 1: Tap and hold the desired Folder
Step 2: Tap on Remove
  1. Tap and hold the desired Folder
  2. Tap on Remove
