Accept Bluetooth File Transfer automatically

For security reasons, every single file sent via Bluetooth must be manually accepted on the LG device.

If desired, files can also be accepted automatically, but the function must be activated for each individual connection (device).

Step 1:  Open the  Settings
Step 2:  Tap on  Bluetooth
Step 3:  Open the  settings  of the desired  connection
Step 4:  Enable or Disable  Auto-accept files

  4. Enable or Disable Auto-accept files

Unpair

Once a connection to a device has been established, pairing takes place automatically as soon as Bluetooth is activated and the devices are within range.

In order to stop the process, the coupling must be removed.

Pairing Device

To send files or use headsets with the LG device, the devices must be paired.

the devices must be visible the first time they are connected, i.e. they must be in pairing mode. for smartphones, it is usually sufficient to switch on bluetooth and keep the menu open. headsets and smartwatches have their own functions via the buttons, which can be found in the respective operating instructions. depending on the device, paring codes are also required.

Note: This manual shows how to pair the LG device with a Samsung smartphone, no mode or code is required.

Rename paired device

Visible and paired devices are displayed and stored on the LG device with the device name. For many devices, this is the model name. Once the devices are paired, the name of the paired device can be edited.

Note: This manual does not show how to change your own device name!

Share Internet

The LG device can share its own Internet connection (mobile data/WLAN) for paired devices via Bluetooth. For this purpose, only one connection must be established.

Note: Since Bluetooth has a moderate transmission speed, we recommend using Internet sharing via a WLAN hotspot.

Enable or Disable Bluetooth

Bluetooth allows you to transfer files or information over short distances, enabling the LG device to connect (pair) with car radios, headsets, speakers, smartphones and other devices.

As Bluetooth increases battery consumption, this feature is turned off by default and should only be turned on when needed.

Note: These instructions only show how to enable or disable Bluetooth, which is also possible via the quick settings.

Send a file

The LG device can not only connect to other devices via Bluetooth, but can also transfer files, such as photos, videos, documents (doc, pdf, excel, ...) or even ringtones and contacts. To transfer a file, the device must be paired with the LG.

Note: In this manual we will show you how to transfer a photo and is for illustration purposes. For other files the individual steps differ.

Bluetooth Tethering

Bluetooth can be used to share the Internet on the LG device, but for other devices to be able to use the Internet, a successful Bluetooth connection must be established.

Note: This guide shows how to share the Internet with all Bluetooth devices, but you can also share the Internet for individual connections.
