LG How to Set up Wi-Fi Hotspot

The mobile data of the LG device can be shared with other connected devices via a Wi-Fi hotspot; if the Wi-Fi hotspot is switched on, the LG device is visible like a normal router.

The LG device automatically switches off the WLAN hotspot after 5 minutes when no devices are connected to the LG, this timeout can be adjusted or even switched off completely, so that the WLAN hotspot remains switched on until it is manually deactivated.

If the LG smartphone is set up and used as a WLAN hotspot, the maximum connections can also be set.

For whatever reason, a password protected hotspot allows a maximum of 3 devices to connect to the LG smartphone, but if an open WLAN hotspot is set up, the connections can be limited between 1 and 10.

the WLAN hotspot is already set up on the LG device with default values. the password can be changed/fixed the first time it is activated. the hotspot can also be set up at any time afterwards. for this purpose, the name, password, security, broadcast channel and the maximum number of users (1-10) can be defined.

Thanks to the Hotspot function, your own LG device can also be used as a WLAN repeater, and within range of the connected WLAN network, the LG can improve or, in the best case, even expand reception.
