Huawei How to Personalize Home Screen

If this function is activated on the Huawei device, you will see a new picture on your lock screen as soon as you turn on your display, almost like turning pages in a magazine. The pictures are actualized over the Wi-Fi. You can choose the category of pictures you will see. there are for example Leica-pictures, stars, sport or lifestyle.

You can choose the style of your Huawei home screen, as by default all apps are shown. If you want to use a so called app drawer and want to see all apps by wiping the display from top to bottom instead, you can activate this here.

We can change the home screen layout on the Huawei device and, instead of the usual displayed 4x6 apps, show app symbols as a 5x5 or 5x6 layout.

Note: This setting depends on the Huawei model we have.

If you found the perfect layout for your Huawei device home screen, you can fix all the apps and widgets in place by activating this option. You can only change the layout by deactivating the option.

If this option is activated, your home screen will loop whenever you try to swipe to the next page, only showing the front page.

On the left side of your Huawei device's home screen, we will find Google feeds with news, like videos or the latest trends. This Google service can be enabled or disabled anytime.

While navigating the menu on the Huawei smartphone, we often see that menu options are shown and hidden with effects, or apps are shown animated. In order to improve the performance of the Huawei device, we can disable these animations or enhanced optical effects.

To customize the Huawei smartphone's home screen according to personal preferences or usage needs, we can split or arrange the app shortcuts on different home screen pages by simply tapping and
holding an app icon and dragging it to the edge of the screen.

Note: To remove a home screen, all icons must be moved. The empty  page will be removed automatically.

By default, the first page is the default home screen on the Huawei smartphone.
The default home screen can be moved and rearranged, so for example, you can move it to the third position to have a central starting point after adding five home screens.

Note: The default home screen can be recognized by the Home icon at the top of the home screen settings.

Browsing the home screens by swiping, they are wiped away to the left and right by default. If we want to set a different animation of this wiping effect, we have the following transition settings or available options on the Huawei smartphone:
