Add keyboard language

When entering text in multiple languages, it is a good idea to activate the appropriate keyboard languages to allow smooth text entry on the OnePlus smartphone and to avoid auto-correcting in the wrong language.

When a keyboard language is added, a suitable layout is selected immediately.

Note: To change the keyboard language while typing, simply tap and hold the space and then select the desired language.

Android 10 (OxygenOS 10.0)
Step 1:  Open the  Settings
Step 2:  Tap on  System
Step 3:  Tap on  Languages & input
Step 4:  Tap on  Virtual keyboard
Step 5:  Tap on  Gboard
Step 6:  Tap on  Languages
Step 7:  Tap on  Add keyboard
Step 8:  Choose a  language
Step 9:  Tap on  Done

  4. Tap on Virtual keyboard
  5. Tap on Gboard
  6. Tap on Languages
  7. Tap on Add keyboard
  8. Choose a language

Change language during text input

Depending on the keyboard settings, the keyboard language on the OnePlus smartphone can be changed by tapping the language switch (globe icon) next to the space bar or by holding down the space bar itself.

Remove keyboard language

The added keyboard languages can also be deleted at any time to keep an overview on the OnePlus smartphone.

To do this, we simply select the edit mode of the keyboard languages and tap the delete icon after one or more keyboard languages or layouts have been selected.

Set default keyboard language

The default language of the keyboard can be changed at any time to have the desired language and layout available immediately when opening a messaging app or input field.

To arrange the keyboard languages on the OnePlus smartphone or to select the default language, simply select the edit mode of the added keyboards and drag a desired language to the first position.
