Xiaomi How to Personalize Status bar

Hide or Show Notch
Today's displays have a notch or recess called the Notch to accommodate the front camera, and we can adjust the display on the Xiaomi device so that content is not cut off by the Notch.





- Open the Settings
- Tap on Display
- Tap on Notch & status bar
- Tap on Hide notch
- Choose between Don´s hide, Hide without moving the status bar and Hide and move status bar
Carrier name in status bar
We may change the displayed name of the vendor or provider to further customize the Xiaomi smartphone to our personal use or preferences.
Note: If we use two SIM cards (Dual SIM) from different network operators, we can change the names individually.






- Open the Settings
- Tap on Display
- Tap on Status bar
- Tap on Edit carrier name
- Choose a SIM card (Dual SIM)
- Enter a name and tap Back
Notch in individual Apps
We can also set the display of the notch for individual apps, choosing whether the notch is always displayed or automatically adjusted to the Xiaomi device.






- Open the Settings
- Tap on Display
- Tap on Notch & status bar
- Tap on Notch in individual apps
- Choose app you want
- Choose between Auto and Always show notch
Battery Indicator
In the status bar of the Xiaomi smartphone and in some apps, depending on the settings, one can see the status of the battery charge in the upper right corner. But those who do not want to estimate between 2/3 and 1/4 can easily activate the battery percentage. From now on, we can see exactly how high the remaining battery status is. On the Xiaomi device, we have the following three display types to choose from
- Graphic
- Percent (in symbol)
- Percent (next to the symbol)
Note: Depending on the model and system, the device has the additional option "Top bar", which displays a narrow bar at the top of the display, which is shortened depending on the charge level.





- Open the Settings
- Tap on Display
- Tap on Status bar
- Tap on Battery indicator
- Choose Graphical, Percentage (in the icon), Percentage (next to the icon) or Top bar
Connection speed in status bar
If we enable this feature, the top left corner of the status bar will show the current connection speed, which will not change until pages are opened on the Internet or apps are downloaded to the Xiaomi device.

- Enable or disable Show connection speed
Carrier name on lock screen
If this feature is enabled on the Xiaomi device, the provider name of the SIM card is displayed in the lock screen.

- Enable or disable Show carrier when device is locked
Notification shade shortcut
When we open the Xiaomi smartphone's notification bar, by default we find the shortcut to the settings in the upper right corner, but if we'd rather have the Search feature there, we can change that.





- Open the Settings
- Tap on Display
- Tap on Notch & status bar
- Tap on Notification shade shortcut
- Choose between Search and Settings
Icons for incoming notifications
We can enable and disable the icons of the received notifications on the Xiaomi smartphone, and if this feature is enabled, we will receive a small notification if the respective app has news or updates.
