Dial Pad Tone

When we enter a phone number via the dial keypad in the Xiaomi smartphone's phone app, a short tone sounds with each digit entered, which can be (de)activated according to personal preference.

Android 10 (MIUI 12.0)
Step 1:  Open the  Settings
Step 2:  Tap on  Sound & vibration
Step 3:  Tap on  Additional settings
Step 4:  Enable or disable  Dial pad tones

Touch Sound

For example, when we navigate through the Xiaomi smartphone's menu, we receive a short acoustic confirmation after tapping a control on the screen, such as the Back button. We can (de)activate the tap tones at any time.

Lock screen Sound

The Xiaomi smartphone emits a short acoustic signal that is similar to a lock and unlock, lock and unlock. The lock screen sound can be (de)activated if desired.

The Xiaomi smartphone confirms successful screenshots with an acoustic signal, and the screenshot sound can be (de)activated in the device's settings at any time if desired.

Camera Shutter Sound

By default, sounds are enabled when taking pictures with the Xiaomi smartphone, but you can turn off the Camera Shutter Sound if you want.

Keyboard Sound

For keyboard input on the Xiaomi smartphone, a sound can be (de)activated at any time, which gives us acoustic feedback when we enter letters. Once the function has been
activated, we can adjust the volume using the slider.

Note: In this guide we will activate the key tones and set the volume, the steps above are for illustration purposes only.
