Network mode
The network mode is the choice between 2G, 3G or 4G (LTE). Users can instruct the Samsung device to use only the 2G network, for example. 5G may also be available depending on the model and equipment.





- Open the Settings
- Tap on Connections
- Tap on Mobile networks
- Tap on Network mode
- Choose between LTE/3G/2G, 3G/2G, 3G only and 2G only
VoLTE
VoLTE (Voice over LTE) calls allow calls to be made over the LTE data network than was previously possible over the 2G or 3G network. VoLTE calls not only improve voice quality, but also reduce battery consumption and call setup time. On Samsung devices that support dual SIM, VoLTE calls can be switched on or off for both SIM cards independently.

- Enable or disable VoLTE Calls
Access Point Name (APN)
Mobile Internet on a Samsung device requires a correct access point name, also known as an APN, which is usually installed automatically when you connect to the network provider for the first time. However, the correct APN data is not always created, which means that you have to adjust or create it manually. Some network providers also offer the APN data as a configuration file, which is sent as an SMS to the Samsung device and installs itself automatically. The APN data and/or the configuration file can be obtained from the network provider's website.

- Tap on Access Point Names
- Tap on Add
- Enter the APN data and open the menu
- Tap on Save
Delete APN
Incorrectly created or superfluous access points can be deleted via the menu on the Samsung device, but randomly, APN data should not be removed from the device as it is required for Internet, SMS and MMS use.

- Open the menu
- Tap on Delete APN
Select network manually
In addition to automatic network selection, the network can also be selected manually on the Samsung device. manual network selection is recommended, especially near the border or abroad, to avoid further costs.

Select network automatically
By default, the Samsung device automatically selects the best network, but once a network is selected manually, the "Select automatically" function must be reactivated to use the automatic network search.

Private DNS
An alternative DNS server can be used to improve the surfing speed and/or security on the Samsung device, with the option to select Off, Automatic or a provider in the Samsung device settings.

- Tap on Private DNS
- Choose between Off, Automatic and Private DNS provider hostname
- Confirm with Save
Virtual Private Network
Obfuscating traces, bypassing service location blockages, encrypting data - the list and reasons for a VPN (Virtual Private Network) service can be long. Even under Samsung, the connection can be redirected via a VPN server, provided a valid VPN server is available.

- Tap on VPN
- Open the menu
- Tap on Add VPN profile
- Enter all required data and confirm with Save
