Unmount
Before removing a memory card, it must be logged off or deactivated from the Samsung device. If the memory card is not ejected by the system, data may be lost. Software problems on the Samsung device cannot be ruled out.
Disabling the memory card will disconnect all connections and accesses between the device and the card, after which the memory card can be removed from the Samsung device.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Device care
- Tap on Storage
- Tap on Advanced
- Tap on Unmount

Move Apps to an SD card
By default, apps are installed on the internal memory, and all the data and files created by the app are also stored on it.
If the Samsung device supports memory expansion, we can move the app to the memory card.
Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to install directly to the memory card.
Note: Moving to the memory card must be supported by the app.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Apps
- Tap on desired App
- Tap on Storage
- Tap on Change
- Tap on SD card
- Confirm with Move
Encrypt or decypt SD Card
inserted memory cards are most often used to store data such as photos or app content. if the samsung device is stolen, anyone can access and view the data on the sd card. android/samsung offers the option to encrypt the sd card so that it can only be read by the device from which the card was encrypted.
As a result, the SD card can only be decrypted on the Samsung device, otherwise the only option is to format the memory card, which will result in the loss of the data.

- Open the Settings
- Tap on Biometrics and security
- Tap on Encrypt or decypt SD card
- Tap on Encrypt SD card/Decypt SD card
- Enter PIN/Pattern/Password
- Confirm with Done
